In this season of our lives we pray for God’s favor to be released upon us. We pray for unmerited favor. When something is unmerited, it is not earned or deserved. This means that when God decides to favor his people, it is not because of anything that we have said or done, it’s simply because he loves us unconditionally. It’s a benefit of being a child of God, a benefit of being a king’s kid. Favor is God’s way of showing us that he appreciates us, that he is kind to us and that he wants us to win. He wants to bless us, increase us, take us to our next level and help us to walk into our new blessings. It’s his way of showing us how special we are to him.
God showed favor upon many of his people in the Bible days and he can and will do the same for you and for me. We learned in Chapter 2 of our Bible Studies that Ruth had found favor in the sight of Boaz when she made a bold decision to shift with God. Esther found favor in the sight of the King when she decided to be bold and approach him concerning her people. Joshua found favor with God when he decided to release any doubts and fears. When he decided to trust God to fight the battle for him. We too like Ruth, Esther and Joshua must make that decision if we want to see the favor of God at work in our lives. Begin now to declare God’s favor!!
Keep a look out as we wrap up the Book of Ruth and take a look into Hebrew Chapter 11. We will go deeper into God’s favor and discover ways on how we can obtain it in our lives. I will let you know later what Book and scriptures we will focus on as we began to study, meditate and declare God’s favor in our lives.
Peace and Blessings:)
